3/11/02 - Nova Health Care Centers continues rapid growth for the new millenium. Due to overwelming demand by patients, referring physicians, and corporations our ninth facility has now opened in Champions. This premier center offers sports medicine, occupational and industrial services, as well as physical therapy. This center is located 3303 F.M. 1960 West Suite 400.

2/4/02 - Nova Health Care Centers takes their expertise in rehabilitation to the occupational market. NHCC enters the Occupation and Industrial market by adding taylor driven services for employers in the greater Houston area. NHCC Industrial Division's explosion into the market is headed by Mark Lamendola, a long time professional in the area of industrial medicine.

4/23/02 - Nova Health Care Centers has partnered with Texas Rehabilition Commission. NHCC has been selected as one of the premier providers for rehabilitation services to TRC clients. This relationship highlights the onging dedication to quality that NHCC is known for in the health services industry.

2/11/02 - Nova Health Care Centers partner with the City of Houston & Metro. NHCC has entered an exclusive provider agreement with the city of Houston & Metro to provide a full range of medical and rehabilitation services.

5/9/02 - Nova Health Care Centers featured in ABC news story. Channel 13 aired a story regarding Nova Health Care Centers' discovery of a 12X12 surgical towel that was left in a patients body for approximately 4 years after a C-section. The patient states she owes her life and health to Nova Health Care Centers and Dr. Mitch McKean.

7/15/02 - Gert Rohde, D.O. joins Nova Health Care Centers as Medical Director.

Dr. Rohde, former Chief Resident of Herman Hospital, leads the Nova Health Care team to provide the full array of high quality medical and rehabilitative services to the Greater Houston community.

8/19/02 - CARF designates Nova Health Care Centers as a leader in Rehabilitation. The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission has commended Nova Health Care on exceeding the standards of CARF and stated that only 3% of those that apply are able to achieve such distinction. Nova Central Work Hardening and Rehabilitation as well as Nova Advanced Care Centers have both achieved 3 year accreditations.

8/27/02 - Nova Health Care Centers expands operations to east Houston. Acquisition of a 7,000 square foot industrial rehabilitation facility was completed today. This marks Nova Health Care's entry into the Houston Ship Channel and the continued growth of Nova's Industrial Medical division.

11/1/02 - Further expansion of Nova Health Care Centers unveiled in Northwest Houston. Nova Northwest Medical Center located at 43rd and Highway 290 has opened. This 15,000 sq. ft. facility is designed to cater to the needs of the industrial sector and is the new flagship for Nova Health Care's Occupational Medical Division.
